PCA-SBM Model Green Urbanization Performance Assessment in China

China’s urbanization over the past thirty years has been fastest in history and led to significant challenges balancing energy use. As a result, this study proposed comprehensive green assessment index system considering use environment protection together. To be specific, principal component analysis was applied eliminate redundant information, slacks-based measure model used evaluate efficiencies. Meanwhile, with super efficiency incorporated, enabled distinguish DMU from DMUs same value, further, projection conducted direct improvement of identified inefficient decision-making units (DMUs). Finally, western Chinese province (Sichuan Province) demonstrate effectiveness models, which it found that overall Sichuan 81.54%, due an input distribution imbalance low technical efficiency.
